Tuesday 4 pm update: Tropical Storm Zeta forecast to become hurricane by landfall

WWL-TV Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin talks about the timing and expected conditions for Zeta, which is still only a tropical storm but expected to strengthen.

Tropical Storm Zeta's winds are unchanged from earlier Tuesday at 65 mph. The forecast path has been nudged a tad west.

Landfall as a Category 1 hurricane still set for southeast Louisiana Wednesday evening. The National Hurricane Center notes in their discussion that the intensity estimates are on the higher end of model forecasts.

Impacts including rain, wind and storm surge are expected in southeast Louisiana especially Wednesday evening from roughly 5 to midnight.

A hurricane warning continues from Morgan City, Louisiana, to the Mississippi/Alabama border, including Lake Pontchartrain, Lake Maurepas, and metropolitan New Orleans.
